Tournament Rules

The exact tournament rules can be found here shortly before the tournament. A first overview follows:

There will be 3 rounds. All results count 100%.
The games end with a solo or after 1908.
Deadlines: 17min spring, 16min fall = about 5 hours per game.
Ranking tie-breakers: 1. number of victories; 2. points when in the same game; 3. number of conventions played - the fewer the better.

Round 2 on early Saturday will include a team competition. You can make teams right before the round, and you can also play without a team.

Scoring-System: "Berlin 007"


Number of supply centres at the end of the game is what counts.
Points for the top 3 of a game: 31 / 15 / 7. In addition every player gets 1 point for each supply centre they hold at the end of the game and 0.1 points per year they survived. All survivors of a draw count as survived until 1908.

Example:
Mister Le Chiffre wins with 10 centres. He gets 31 + 10 + 0.8 = 41.8 points
Moneypenny is fourth with 4 centres. She gets 0 + 4 + 0.8 = 4.8 points
Vesper Lynd was eliminated (drawned in an elevator?) in 1906. She gets 0 + 0 + 0.6 = 0.6 points

When players share a position they share the points of the shared positions (two board toppers share the points for place 1 and 2 etc.).

Solo = 70 points for the winner, zero points for everybody else.

Draws before 1908: permitted, all survivers have to agree in a secret vote conducted by the TD. The number of yes and no votes will not be made public.
