In December 2003 the idea was born to organise a dipcon in Berlin. After the success of Waldkappel / Hessen since 1998 and some early attempts of Nordcon in Hamburg, the idea was to establish a convention in a big city, offering German "Gemütlichkeit" and touristic opportunities. It was the right time. After launched in April 2004, BerliCon was followed by a wave of large German speaking conventions, and today Germany is one of the most active hobbies in Europe..
BerliCon I: April 15 - 17, 2004
First Convention in Berlin, 40 players from 4 countries.
Winner: Dennis Krüger from Berlin.

BerliCon II / German DipCon VIII: April 29 - Mai 1, 2005
Official German Championships and GrandPrix step with 46 players from 7 countries.
Winner: Stefan Hagemann from Rostock.

BerliCon III / World DipCon XVI - Stabbing deluxe! 3. - 6. August 2006
Official World Championchips and GrandPrix step with 120 participants from about 16 countries.
